Switching Seasons

Two rails part beneath the weight of autumn.
The forest reclaims — paths once loud now whisper.

The empty tracks and fall foliage mark a turning of seasons in more ways than one. The moment spoke to me of nature's endurance and slow reclamation of industrial leavings.

Taken October 15, 2025 in Gardiner, Maine.
