A Dining Room With A View

The image shows Hallowell’s riverfront, with a restaurant overlooking the Kennebec and the town’s church spire framed by trees. The calm water mirrors the buildings and greenery, uniting town and river in a single reflection.

The town leans toward its reflection.
The Kennebec keeps its image, bright and still.

This photograph presents a view of Hallowell, Maine, from the waters of the Kennebec River. The Cafe de Bangkok restaurant is framed by lush trees and the Second Congregational Church steeple is reflected in the still water below. The scene reflects both the town’s historic charm and its living connection to the water.

I love eating at the Cafe de Bangkok Restaurant because it has one of the best views of the Kennebec you will find. (I like to say that the only buildings with better views have gunports in them.)

I have to admit that getting this picture cost some dings to my propeller as there are a couple annoying rocks n this part of the river.
